Donation Refund Policy

Organization: Lakshmi Educational Aid Foundation (LEAF) • Section 80G & 12A Registered NGO

1. Voluntary Contributions & Charitable Donations

Lakshmi Educational Aid Foundation (LEAF) is a non-profit organization operating in the educational, agricultural, and environmental spheres. Donations made to LEAF are purely voluntary contributions intended to support rural schoolchildren, book distributions, science interactions, and community upliftment.

2. Refund Eligibility & Erroneous Transactions

As a general rule, donations once processed cannot be canceled or refunded. However, in cases of:

• Technical duplicate transactions (where the donor's bank account was debited multiple times due to a gateway error).
• Unintended or unauthorized transactions reported immediately.
• Incorrect transaction amount entered by mistake during payment.

The donor must notify LEAF in writing within 7 days of the transaction date.

3. 80G Tax Exemption Certificate Implications

If an official Section 80G tax exemption receipt has already been issued to the donor for the transaction, a refund cannot be processed under Income Tax Act compliance rules, as the receipt has been officially registered with statutory bodies.

4. Processing Timelines

Approved refund requests will be processed within 7 to 10 working days back to the original source payment method (bank account, UPI, or card) after verification.
